While the film Bohemian Rhapsody featured many brilliant queen songs, it didn't even touch the tip of the iceberg that's Queen when it comes to their rich legacy (and some say the same is true regarding the band's story). In order to correct that and enrich your lives, here are 10 songs that will prove how great of a band Queen was!

1

Spread Your Wings (News Of The World)

While Freddie mentioned some lyrics from this song, it wasn't in the soundtrack, and that's a shame, because it's one of their most uplifting songs and used to be a live favorite.

2

It's Late (News Of The World)

Another song from an album that Kurt Cobain claimed was one of the best albums ever, and there's no argue here. It's Late is a mini rock opera which shows just how talented the group was and what a shame that most people just listen to the Greatest Hits albums.

3

Innuendo (Innuendo)

Another rock opera, Innuendo brings out the best out of all the members of the band, and includes a Spanish guitar part that will send shivers down your spine. Unfortunately, it was the last album the band released while Freddie was alive.

4

Mustapha (Jazz)

The opening track from Jazz, is a track that's mostly in Arabic and Persian-Gibberish and might be the most ethnically diverse song in the band's discography.

5

Death On Two Legs (A Night At The Opera)

Another opening track, this song is easily lost in an album that features both Bohemian Rhapsody and Love Of My Life. It's a very heavy song that has a heavy metal feeling to it. Our advice? Just play the entire album.

6

Stone Cold Crazy (Sheer Heart Attack)

If we're diving into metal territories, check out this live favorite which was covered by both Queens Of The Stone Age and Metallica, the latter keep playing it at shows till this day.

7

A Kind Of Magic (A Kind Of Magic)

A fan and live favorite, this song shows the softer side of the band, which proves just how versatile Queen was.

8

Princes Of The Universe (A Kind Of Magic)

Another one from A Kind Of Magic, the song was written for the film Highlander (as was Who Wants To Live Forever). The song is a combination of opera, glam rock and heavy metal, and shows the heavier side of the band.

9

Flash (Flash Gordon Soundtrack)

The members' love of Science Fiction was discussed in many interviews and is proven in the soundtrack for this campy film based on a comic strip by the same name.

10

Bicycle Race (Jazz)

Maybe the most famous Queen song that wasn't in the film, Bicycle Race is a crash course on everything that's good in the band - Progy build, heavy riffs, operatic vocals, catchy parts and amazing musicianship. Lone live the Queen!

After listening to them, which song is your favorite?
