Top Gun - Maverick

No one imagined a Top Gun sequel was in the works, much less that it would be coming as soon as 2020! Tom Cruise arrived to the Con to drop off the trailer by himself and to thank the loyal fans for their patience.

Jay And Silent Bob Reboot

Another big surprise - Director, writer and Silent Bob himself, Kevin Smith hinted at a possibility for such a film, but most people had no idea it was so close, and that it would look so awesome! It seems like Smith, who established in himself in the last couple of years as a vlogger and horror-indie director, is trying to reclaim his throne as the king of low budget meta-comedies, and that's not a bad idea!

Rick And Morty - Season 4

While not a full trailer, the sneak peek we got was quite satisfying. Taika Waititi (the director of Thor: Ragnarok and What We Do In The Shadows) announced he'll be making the new Thor film by passing the hammer Mjolnir to Natalie Portman (As you can see in the picture above), AND that he'll be voice acting in the show, as you can see right here!

Watchmen

Is it a prequel? A Sequel? A reboot? No one has the answers yet, but we do know that the new HBO series is one of the most talked about shows of the coming season. It was created by Damon Lindelof (Lost) and loosely based on Alan Moore's masterpiece. Other than that? We'll have to wait and see.

His Dark Materials

Another HBO series, another work that has already been adapted, and we just hope that it would be better than the former effort. The book series followed Lyra, a girl who was on a mission to save her dying world with the aid of her daemon (a spirit animal of sorts), a Texan aeronaut and a talking polar bear-king. And that's just the first of the three book!

Cats

One of the most famous musicals of all time is finally coming to the big screen and it looks... kinda scary? Director Tom Hooper (Les Misérables, The King's Speech) brings the story of London's finest felines to the cinema in a most peculiar way. So peculiar that fans and trolls alike began criticizing the film without watching anything but the trailer!

The Witcher

Netflix's foray into sword and sorcery begins with this adaptation of a Polish book series which became one of the most successful game series ever! Henry Cavill (AKA Superman) stars as Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer who was trained and mutated to become the best witcher his world has ever known.

21 Bridges

Even though we didn't get to see any Marvel trailers this year (although some fans claim the phase 4 reveal by Kevin Feige was even better than a mere trailer), we did get this thriller, starring Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) and produced by the Russo Brothers (Avengers: Infinity War, Endgame, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Civil War). The Russos are not the directors of this film, but if they're attached there's probably a good reason for it.

Harley Quinn

What the hell did we just watch? She might be animated, but as you can see, Harley Quinn is not your average super-hero cartoon! Created for the Batman animated TV show, Harley is the counterpart of the Joker, and became extremely popular following the Suicide Squad film.

The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance

The prequel to the Jim Henson classic was hinted at for years, and based on this sneak peek it was worth waiting! The 1982 film was all physical effects, and it looks like director Louis Leterrier tried to keep the feeling, even though some CGI were used. No matter what, it looks just beautiful.

Star Trek: Picard

The absolute winner of this year's Comic-Con is Patrick Stewart AKA Jean-Luc Picard, former Captain of USS Enterprise. There are not a lot of details regarding the premise of the show, but from what we could gather here, it seems like Picard needs to gather a crew for what will probably be a dangerous deep space mission to boldly go where no man has gone before!
