Another Trump advisor calls it quits
Hope Hicks, one of President Trump’s longest-serving advisers and the current White House communications director is set to resign from her position. Reports indicate that Hicks has been considering leaving her position inside the administration for several months.
The announcement comes a day after Hicks testified for several hours before the House Intelligence Committee. During her testimony, Hicks stated that she had been required to tell "white lies" on behalf of the White House. She maintains that she never lied about anything to do with the ongoing Russia investigation.
Hicks had spoken with colleagues and noted that she felt she has accomplished as much as she could with regards to her position inside the Trump administration. Her departure date has not been officially announced, nor has any announcement about what she intends to do next.
