Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) came out with strong words about the recent GOP tax cuts passed late last year. Rubio stated that "there's no evidence whatsoever" the corporate cuts are overwhelmingly helping workers.

In an interview Rubio stated that “There is still a lot of thinking on the right that if big corporations are happy, they’re going to take the money they’re saving and reinvest it in American workers.”

He continued by highlighting that “In fact they bought back shares, a few gave out bonuses; there’s no evidence whatsoever that the money’s been massively poured back into the American worker.”

Rubio noted that corporations that got breaks in the new plan are now buying back shares and giving few bonuses out to workers. The senator's comments are being used by Democrats to help aid their case against the new tax laws

When pressed for a comment a Rubio spokeswoman stated that the senator "pushed for a better balance in the tax law between tax cuts for big businesses and families, as he’s done for years."
