How do hand transplants work?

To start, hands are removed from a recently deceased organ donor!
Then, bones are attached first with titanium plates, major tendons and muscles are reconnected, and tiny blood vessels are connected to ensure viable blood supply.
Afterwards, major nerves are reattached, and large and small veins are connected.
Following successful blood circulation in the remaining muscles, tendons and nerves are reconnected and the skin stitched closed.
