Pres. Trump has finally chosen a nominee to take the seat of Director of the FBI. Former head of the Justice Department in 2005, Christopher A. Wray.

The nomination comes nearly a month after the firing of James Comey and a day before Comey appears before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Quick Facts!

In 1992, Christopher A. Wray graduated from Yale Law School. During his time at Yale, Wray was the executive editor of the Yale Law Journal.
In 2003, George W. Bush nominated Wray as Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division of the Justice Department.
From 2003 to 2005, Wray worked under James Comey and eventually becoming Deputy Attorney General.
Wray oversaw prominent fraud investigations, such as Enron.
In 2005, Wray left U.S. government employment to work for a private law firm, King & Spalding, as a white-collar criminal defense attorney.
Since then, Wray has defended several Fortune 100 companies.
During his time at King & Spalding, Wray represented New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie during the Bridgegate scandal.
Christopher Wray was in possession of Christie's phone, which was the subject of scandal during the Bridgegate case.

If people thought that Trump might pick a lackey, Chris Wray is not Trump’s lackey.
