Falmouth Falcons

Falmouth Falcons

Known for their rough and often violent style of play, the Falmouth Falcons are an intimidating bunch who rely on their world-class Beaters to get the job done. In fact, they're so aggressive on the pitch, their team motto is: "Let us win, but if we cannot win, let us break a few heads."

Quiberon Quafflepunchers

Quiberon Quafflepunchers

Frequent League winners in France, the Quiberon Quafflepunchers are known for their flamboyant style of play and their bright pink Quidditch robes. Whether they win or they lose, the Quafflepunchers always put on a good show.

Montrose Magpies

Montrose Magpies

Congrats on joining Headmistress McGonagall's favorite team! The Montrose Magpies are the most successful team in the history of the British and Irish League with 32 wins under their belts. In fact, Seeker Eunice Murray once famously petitioned for a "faster Snitch because this is just too easy."

Chudley Cannons

Chudley Cannons

These days, the Chudley Canons are a bit of a punch line in the League. Their glory days are long considered to be over, and they haven't scored a League win since 1892. But don't be too hard on yourself. What the Canons lack in talent, they make up for in spirit. Not to mention, they're Ron Weasley's favorite team.

Puddlemere United

Puddlemere United

As the oldest team in the League, Puddlemere United has 22 League wins to its name and it's often regarded as one of the League's most consistent teams. However, that doesn't stop their crazy fans from getting rowdy, especially when they play their rivals, the Holyhead Harpies. Notable players include Jocelind Wadcock (who holds the record for most goals scored in the British and Irish Quidditch League) and former Gryffindor captain, Oliver Wood.

Holyhead Harpies

Holyhead Harpies

Congrats on joining the only all-witch team in the League! Founded in 1203, the Holyhead Harpies are known as fierce competitors, and their defeat of the Heidelberg Harriers in 1953 after a grueling seven-day match is largely considered one of the finest games of Quidditch ever played. Notable players include the "brilliant but dangerous" Gwenog Jones and Ginny Weasley.

Ballycastle Bats

Ballycastle Bats

As Northern Ireland's most celebrated Quidditch team, the Ballycastle Bats are known for more than just their successful record (they've won the League Cup 27 times). In fact, their mascot Barny the Fruitbat is universally recognized in Butterbeer advertisements around the globe, which probably means you get free Butterbeer for life when you're a Bat. Sounds like a good deal to us!

Fitchburg Finches

Fitchburg Finches

The Americans! Quidditch may not be as popular in the United States as it is in the U.K. (as American wizards still prefer the game of Quodpot), but it's growing popularity had led to an influx of talent in the States. From Massachusetts, the Fitchberg Finches have won the U.S. League a whopping seven times. These scrappy up-and-comers are hungry for recognition on a global scale.
