The Egyptian scored twice and set up goals for Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino on route to the victory, putting the winger within four goals of Ian Rush's all-time record for the most amount of goals scored by a Liverpool player in a single season (Rush netted 47 goals in the 1983/1984 season).

With Salah enjoying such an historic campaign, not only does he appear to be a shoo-in for Ballon d'Or consideration at the end of the season, but many people are also going as far as to compare the red-hot winger to Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
