An endangered Pygmy Hippo was born three weeks ago at Bristol Zoo.

The calf is looking strong and has a healthy appetite according to the assistant curator of animals Lynsey Bugg.

It's gender hasn't been announced yet and the hippo has not yet been shown to the public. Bristol Zoo is a member of an international breeding program for the species.
