The Ultimate "To-Do" List
The Ultimate "To-Do" List
It’s World Mozzy Day again and love ‘em or hate ‘em, a to-do list just helps get things done. We have one that will help wipe the world’s oldest disease off the map. Malaria kills a child every minute, so let’s get to work with the #malariatodolist to #defeatmalaria.
It’s World Mozzy Day again and love ‘em or hate ‘em, a to-do list just helps get things done. We have one that will help wipe the world’s oldest disease off the map. Malaria kills a child every minute, so let’s get to work with the #malariatodolist to #defeatmalaria.
Money, Money, Money
The pop-tastic Swedish foursome sang, “Money, Money, Money”…….. Well in the fight against malaria – a disease that kills a child every minute – a little goes a long way. Just £1 will save a child’s life, but the campaign to beat malaria has only half of the funds needed. The world can make malaria no more, but needs the money, money, money to do this.
To Do: Sustain and find new sources of funding to save lives.
It Takes Two Baby
“It takes two baby” according to the great Marvin Gaye. Well imagine what millions could do! Halving child deaths from malaria in the last 15 years is the result of amazing partnerships between politicians, scientists, philanthropists, celebrities, the public, business leaders and charities. If more and more people join us in the fight to end malaria, just think what we can do!
To Do: Build powerful partnerships in the fight to make malaria no more.
Man On The Moon
To pinch from a REM lyric, we’ve “put a man on the moon”. Great minds have also come up with amazing scientific breakthroughs and discoveries in the fight against malaria. Excitingly the world’s first malaria vaccine and a one dose treatment are close to being available for use in Africa which could help save millions of children’s lives. To all you amazing scientists - keep up the good work. To everyone else - watch this space………
To Do: Invest in game changing research and development.
Leader Of The Pack
The fight against malaria has many strong leaders, both home and away. In Britain we can be proud of our leadership credentials in the malaria campaign, and we need this continue along with others from around the world!
To Do: Encourage local and global leaders to champion the fight for a malaria-free world.
Stayin' Alive
It’s all about Stayin’ alive – the wonderfully coiffed Bee Gees told us so! And we agree - no one anywhere should die from malaria when we have cheap and simple ways to prevent and treat it. Mosquito nets, quick tests and treatment are saving lives right now. So let’s keep more and more stayin’ alive.
To Do: Ensure life-saving prevention and treatment are available for all.
Don't Stop Me Now
We agree with the legend that is Freddie Mercury: Don’t stop us now! Child deaths from malaria have been cut in half in just 15 years, and we want to finish the job! It is possible to do if we keep our foot on the pedal and accelerate to get more and more countries being free from this killer disease. Seriously. Don’t stop us now!
To Do: Accelerate the pace and action to make malaria no more.
Wipe Out!
So let’s go for the biggest and best wipeout ever. Making malaria no more!
