Star Wars Actress Carrie Fisher Has Died At Age 60
Rest in peace, Ms. Fisher. And may the force be with you.
After suffering a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles on Friday December 23 and spending several days in intensive care, Carrie Fisher, beloved Star Wars actress, passed away on December 27, 2016 at 8:55 am at the age of 60.

The announcement was made this morning by family spokesman Simon Halls, who gave a statement on behalf of Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd.

She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.
Fisher, the daughter of actress Debbie Reynolds and entertainer Eddie Fisher, was born on October 21, 1956 and was catapulted into fame at the age of 19 when she starred as Princess Leia in Star Wars. She went on to star in The Blues Brothers, The Man with One Red Shoe, Hannah and Her Sisters, and When Harry Met Sally. She also reportedly worked as a highly sought after but uncredited script doctor on several films, including The Wedding Singer, Hook and Sister Act.

Diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1985, Fisher has since become an outspoken mental health advocate and written in great detail about her struggles in several books, including semi-autobiographical novel, Postcards from the Edge, which was later turned into a film starring Meryl Streep and Wishful Drinking, which chronicles her history of substance abuse problems that began when she was only 13 years old and has since become an HBO documentary.

Fisher is survived by her only child, daughter Billie Lourd, her mother, Debbie Reynolds, and her beloved French bulldog, Gary Fisher.

But now we would like to know...
