Pick Up A Pencil

Picking up a pencil is the simplest thing but we seem to have forgotten about it. We use keyboards and touchscreens so much these days but one of the best forms to unlock creativity is lifting up a pen or pencil and drawing or writing. Just sit in front of a blank page and see what happens. It might be drawing or writing but let yourself radiate through the medium and make this a daily practice.

2

Question Everything

Part of unlocking a creative flow is being curious. If we never question anything we are never stimulating our brains to think outside of the box. Part of creativity is being challenged and challenging what you see or here so try and be more aware of your surroundings and question them. Be curious and ask people simple questions, even if it seems silly, it will help you dig deeper and explore your own curiosities.

3

Get Lost

Walk a different way home today. If you change your environment and surroundings you are allowing yourself to be inspired and see new things. Don't walk straight, walk in circles, try a new path, step into a new shop and converse with someone new. Getting lost can lead us to the most interesting places so take advantage of this and play. If you see something that grabs your eye, follow it and see where it might lead you.

4

Slow Down

Take time to breathe and meditate and slow down. This will really allow you to breathe and find your flow. If you never stop doing what you are doing you will never give yourself space to feel what things really are. Slow all your energies and let thoughts sink. Drink a coffee in the morning outside and watch the world go by. Who knows what you might see. We don't always need to plan what we are doing and where we are going, sometimes the best ideas come from being still so remember to curate this into your diary.

5

Move

Moving your body helps gets your synapses connected. Feel it out and think about where you want to reach. Keeping your body active keeps your mind active so make sure you remember to move and find that physical connection to your intuition which will help you find your inner flow. Whether you like running, the gym, dancing or sports get inside of your body and really enjoy being connected. This will have great influence on your mind and unlocking all your creative energy.

6

Look Up

The world is a big place and when we look up it makes us realize how small we really are. Don't forget to look above at the world and see what is going on. You might be inspired by the nothingness, clouds or just your clear head space but we guarantee this tip will allow you to think clearly and have a good observation about what is happening in the world.

7

Take Risks

Life would be very simple if we stayed in our comfort zone. Remember to take risks and step outside of the box. This is when you will find new and inspiring encounters. Don't be afraid of the unknown but embrace it. You could start by talking to a stranger that grabs your eye or trying a new class. Quitting your job or going out alone. Any of these methods can help you feel more confident and bold and this will help your inner creativity find it's own peace.

8

Immerse in Nature

As simple as it sounds but getting in touch with nature will clear and de-clutter your mind of thoughts. Taking a walk in the park or understanding where we are and what we come from is important in terms of self-discovery. Nature is the most beautiful form of creativity so look at it as a source for inspiration. Lakes, parks, gardens or rivers, whatever you have close look at it, see how it breathes and relax your mind and soul.

9

Embrace Inner Emotion

Part of creative practice is being able to embrace what you really feel and channel it through your art. Take a good time to self-reflect and feel what you are feeling. This is the greatest source of inspiration and will allow you to guide yourself by your true feelings and passions. You might have just come out of a heartbreak or feel a bit unstable at work but these negative and sad feelings can sometimes be the best way to channel your creative energy.

10

Surround Yourself With Inspirational People

Your environment dictates so much so make sure you surround yourself with people that inspire you. This will push your creative flow and help you feel more motivated to create your vision. The more versatile humans you have around, the greater your creative vocabulary. Everyone and everything can inspire your mind so make sure you keep positive people around because negativity can really drain your creative soul.
