Should The US Label Mexican Cartels As Foreign Terrorist Organizations?

Mexican cartels inflict the same kind of violence as terrorist groups. They also are a big cause behind the humanitarian crisis at the US/Mexican border. But would labeling them as Foreign Terrorist Organizations be the right move?
