Chester Bennington, Linkin Park Frontman, Dead At 41 Of Apparent Suicide

Chester Bennington, of Linkin Park fame, was found dead at a Los Angeles home this week at the age of 41. It's being treated as an apparent suicide.

Bennington was known for his distinct vocal style, which emphasized howling and anguish to match Linkin Park's emotional lyrics.

Counted among their hit songs are 2000's "In The End"...

... "Crawling", also from the same year...

... and later tracks, such as "Numb" from 2003...

... and "Faint", also from 2003.

Since their formation in 1996, Linkin Park has sold over 70 million albums worldwide, and won two Grammys.

Bennington had previously admitted he's struggled with alcohol and drug dependencies. Linkin Park was currently on a world tour for their latest record, "One More Light" released in May.

Bandmates, friends, industry colleagues, and fans worldwide have outpoured their shock and grief over Bennington's sudden death.

Fans noted that Bennington apparently took his own life on what would have been Chris Cornell's 53rd birthday. The two were good friends, and collaborated together before Cornell committed suicide in May.

Bennington is, and will be, very much missed.
