Sleeping in.

December 25th is a holiday, therefore it should be treated as such. That means sleeping in until the late hours of the morning maybe even until noon if we're feeling extra ambitious.

2

Staying in our pyjamas all day.

Family is coming over but that doesn't mean we still can't wear our pyjamas. Christmas is for relaxing, and if they can't understand that, well then, they don't understand the spirit of Christmas.

3

Instagram every cookie in sight.

Christmas cookies are basically works of art and we know this. We don't let even one beautifully decorated Christmas cookie to go by without Instagramming it first.

4

Watch Home Alone.

How does this movie get better and better year after year? Kevin McAllister's clever tricks and tom foolery never gets old and is entertaining as heck.

5

Asking for money or gift cards.

Let's get straight to the point. Millennials want cash or gift cards so we can buy exactly what we want. It will save us from having to return the burnt orange chenille sweater you bought us two sizes too big.

6

Wanting a puppy, even though you know you can't afford it.

Even though we know there's no conceivable way we'll have room in our condo or have enough money to take care of a puppy, we'll ask for one anyway because we believe in our dreams.

7

Checking your email even though you know no one is emailing you on Christmas.

What if my boss emailed me about the project I'm working on. Or what if the guy I was crushing on decided to send me a private message revealing his innermost feelings...Nope, it's Christmas.

8

Actually wanting to sit at the kids' table.

Ahh the golden seat at the kids table. No adults looming over us, asking us what we're doing with our Marketing degree. We'd take a seat at the kids table any day.

9

Accidentally revealing the truth about Santa to a kid.

Through our politically driven speech we may accidentally, without really meaning it, may reveal that Santa isn't real to a kid or two. It just slips out!

10

Always saying "Happy Holidays."

"Merry Christmas," is so cringey! To keep things neutral, we say "Happy Holidays."

11

Drinking Almond Nog

Have you tried this stuff? It tastes just like Egg Nog but it's made from almonds! It's amazing and is changing Egg Nog as we know it.

12

Announcing when you're finally going to bed.

At the end of a long day of mingling with family members, eating as many cookies and chocolate covered almonds as you can, it's time to turn in. But before we do, we must announce it to the rest of the room.
