Remember that holiday weekend, seems like it was the 4th of July - may have been Labor Day, we had your Ranger on the water for like 3 days?

Exactly, it had been a long slow weekend on the water, fish were suspended and just not active for like over 48 hours or so...

Dude we tried everything, pulled out all the tricks! Nobody was catching 'em!

Then late the last day after everyone else threw-in-the-towel and went home... I mean all the boats, bank fishers and wielders of the mighty Zebco evacuated the area

Yeah even the kids and people fishing with us called it quits and told us we were insane as they drove off

We kept telling them not to give up. We were telling them, go ahead and go home, within an hour of you leaving we'll be loading the boat!!

Seems like it wasn't even 30 minutes after they left that it got crazy like Crazy Good! After kicking them out at the boat ramp we headed out in front of Sailboat Cove and started drifting the deep channel in the main body of the lake

Yep, we were drifting cut shad on 4 rods and both of us were slabbing just off the bottom with white or chartreuse slab jigs. Then #Boom... all the rods started bending, we would have 4 and 5 fish hooked up at once...

They were trying to pull a couple of 'em overboard... We loaded a boat limit in like 20 minutes

Nope different day, but it was another one of those epic Hybrid slam down days. Poor fella couldn't even get a bite in spite of following us around all day. Remember he was shadow trolling us that day?

Sure, if the wind's blowing we'll hit the lake... if it's calm we'll head to the coast for some Offshore action!
