Writing is not just about using words

There is an art to writing, and it is not how professionally a writer uses the words. A great writer has the ability to bleed his soul into the ink and only few will recognize his true talent.

I think that many of us have gone through tragedy. I think that some of us keep it bottled up where no one can see it, and the rest of us take to writing it on paper. The ones that chose to write have an incredible ability that allows them to portray their pain into the words - like a singer. In every book, there is a story untold behind the words. I started out with no skills in writing, I had no idea what I was doing, but the conflict in my soul just wouldn't let me put that pen down. I ended up writing a book that has torn my readers apart. I poured my entire soul into those words. Sure, my writing is still crappy, but the connection my readers can make in those words has them coming back for more. I don't consider myself great in any manner but I have witnessed what the hard truth of writing can bring about. If you always think that you have to mend the words to suit a criteria, then you'll never go anywhere. Sit down at your laptop and let your blood drip from your fingertips. Don't hold back.
