Which Wild Feline Would You Be?

From spots to stripes, loud roars to quiet purrs and large families to solitary lives; the wild felines of the world vary as much in appearance as they do in personality! But which one would you be?

How close are you to your family?

Are you more of a day time mover or a night time dweller?

Do you prefer to stay in one place or move around a lot?

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

Are you a vegetarian?

Which climate do you prefer?

Lion

Lion

You have incredible strong family bonds and you’re definitely more of a homebody than a roamer. Socialising is one of your favourite pastimes and you’re more than happy with taking the lead within your friendship group. With your big personality it is no surprise that you’re quite often classified as being everyone’s favourite!

Cheetah

Cheetah

You’re a quick thinker and more often than not this skill means that you manage to get yourself out of tricky situations at incredible speeds! Deep down you have quite strong familial bonds but on the surface you stand alone as an independent soul who is determined to prove that you can stand on your own two (or four!) feet.

Puma

Puma

The Puma is the big cat of the Americas and with your bold personality it is no surprise that you’re most like this feline! You’re incredibly independent and you're a master of disguise! Moving around is nothing new to you and over the years you've learned to easily adapt to any situation. People often comment on how little they see you and that is because you’re far more of a night time person than you are daytime but that doesn’t bother you in the slightest as you’re quite content with your own company!

This week our volunteers in Costa Rica spotted a puma while working on our Big Cats, Primates and Turtle Conservation Project. Find out how you can join the project:

Asian Golden Cat

Asian Golden Cat

With your opportunistic personality, you’re constantly trying out new things and venturing to new areas – just like the Asian Golden Cat! You’re not keen on sticking to a routine but as you’re typically a solitary figure the fact that you’re constantly changing your plans doesn’t generally bother anyone else anyway!

Bobcat

Bobcat

Bobcats are elusive and more often than not they are solitary animals but you definitely don’t want to mess with these wildcats! You have an incredible amount of patience but, just like the Bobcat, if you feel threatened your personality can quickly become quite fierce and you’re definitely not one to be messed with.

If you would like to catch a glimpse of these stunning creatures you can find them in the United States:

Margay

Margay

You’re incredible secretive, just like the Margay and as a result no one truly knows much about who you really are but that’s the way you like it! You’re often jetting off to warmer climates and you prefer nothing more than being able to bask in the sun for hours on end.

Although not much is known about the Margay, we do know that they are typically found in tropical regions and so can be spotted in Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador and Southern America.
