Marty O’Connor, 29, has been paralyzed from the shoulders down for almost five years. His mother, Judy O'Connor, has been his official note-taker and care-giver since.

On May 20, 2017, Marty completed his education and graduated with an MBA from Chapman University. But, that wasn't the end quite yet.

With the help of classmates and faculty, Marty was able to obtain an Honorary MBA for his mother, for all her time and dedication over the past two years.
