Hundreds of years later, adorable infants are revising Shakespeare's classic tale of forbidden love with a not-so-forbidden photoshoot to celebrate the amazing coincidence of their birth. Romeo Archangel Hernandez and Juliet Evangeline Shifflett, whose families didn't know each other at all before their births, were born in the same hospital within 18 hours of one another, delivered by the same doctor, in rooms directly next to each other. Romeo is named after a singer, Juliet after a character on television, but when their parents found out about the other family's baby, they couldn't help but embrace the coincidence and hired photographer Cassie Clayshulte to do a Shakespearean-themed photo shoot of the kids together.

We didn’t want to do an overly themed shoot, just a little session of the two of them with a Shakespearean feel... I wasn’t sure how I was going to style a newborn Romeo and Juliet shoot without it looking a little bit cheesy or morbid.

When Clayshulte says "morbid" she refers to the fact that newborns typically have to be asleep for their photo shoots for safety reasons, and at the end of the play, Romeo and Juliet both die. But after talking it over with the family, they decided they didn't think it would be morbid at all to have photos of the two infants sleeping together.

The parents and I love the photos and could care less what the trolls of the internet think. And yes, we know how the story ends, and we don’t care because guess what, this isn’t the 1300s.

Clayshulte also said it was rare to see two infants cuddle as naturally as these two babies for not being actual twins. But there is a bit of a tragic end to this tale: one of the families will soon be moving out of state for work. But they've become fast friends and have already started talking about getting the kids together to celebrate their first birthday next year.

But now, what we would like to know is...

Do you think they'll grow up to get married?
