It would be good if their names are made adding the particular Letters and Numeric to get an idea while calling/mentioning any Fordable Projector Screen name.

Their name must be in a way so it remains clear and does not lead towards any sorts of confusions. These informative names are quite easy to understand. The small change can bring a tremendous difference in order to understand more about the performance and properties of all sorts of the screen.

What Name It Used To Be Earlier

Earlier, we used to refer to Foldable Projector Screen and other projection screen considerate surfaces having some particular generic descriptive names. These names were not that way much useful to give enough information regarding the projection. Here, some prominent names have been mentioned like

  • Matt White
  • Glass Beaded
  • High Contrast Grey

Those names were descriptive and the fact cannot be ignored that something was missing there. They did not let you have any ideas about the performance of projection/School Projector Screen or any other kind of detail.

What Revolution Has Done Till Now -

This topic is being discussed by many. In respect of naming, a massive overhaul has been done. It was necessary indeed. After doing hard core research, a code-based nomenclature having performance specification has been added in the name of School Projector Screen names. Many of you probably still confuse and therefore it is being cited here in a discreet manner.

How It Is Named In An Informative Way –

Matt White has been transformed into Matt White XT1000E.

  • The first letter added in this projection screen name indicating about the viewing cone, “X” stands for Extra Wide.
  • There is “T” mentioned as the second letter in this name standing for “Typical”.
  • Now, there are four digits in this name 1000 indicating towards 1.0.
  • And this projection name gets ended up with the letter “E” standing for “a self-supporting viewing surface considered the part of the OptiView family. Moreover, quite suitable for Draper non-tensioned screen).

Though going with this methodology was quite helpful to work, still there was a lot of work to do. Now, it has also become to emphasize the TechVision Line. A screen’s performance is still being circumvented. It has become essential to know more about the screen’s performance in ambient light. Earlier, we used to simply refer to the color of a TechVision surface either gray or white. But people got confused regarding these two shades.

They used to think about Gray like those particular screens were automatically good at rejecting ambient light. But on the other hand, it was not completely wrong since all grey screens do not reject ambient light. Either they are diffusive or reflective. Draper’s TecVision XH700X Grey is considered a great example to opt. It comes up with a grey surface especially has been designed in order of imaged blending. But it does not hold the power of rejecting characters. Now, ALR screens are holding ALR properties and that is why they are holding “ALR” in their name.
