Parker Schnabel

23-year-old Parker has been mining since he was 10 years old and has already been running his late grandfather’s mining business for seven years! He made a name for himself taking on Todd Hoffman in Gold Rush and now has his own spin-off series.

Following expeditions to the Klondike and Guyana, in this series, Parker is taking the team on a search for gold in Papua New Guinea, on a mission to reconnect with his grandfather John's history; who served in the air force there during WWII. On this journey, he follows in the footsteps of one of the greatest explorers and prospectors of the 20th century, Mick Leahy, and learns the local mining techniques that make the present-day gold rush thrive in this stunning Pacific country.

Karla Ann Charlton

Embarking on her third expedition with Parker is survival guide and British Colombia native Karla Ann. Karla Ann first met Parker driving a rock truck while working at one of his mine sites and since then, has accompanied him on his previous Gold mining missions to Guyana and the Klondike.

Gold mining runs in her family and she has a deep Yukon connection thanks to her great-grandfather, who was one of the original pioneers.

When she's not driving a rock truck or in the wilderness, Karla Ann is a pro ski-boarder and you can find her carving fresh tracks on the slopes!

Sam Brown

Long-time friend and British cameraman Sam Brown is responsible for filming much of the team's epic adventure. Sam first met Parker working behind-the-scenes on the first three series of Gold Rush. He remembers filming Parker aged 16, when he first took over the mine from his Grandpa. Sam and Parker have stayed great friends ever since and when Parker invited him to join the crew on an epic adventure to Papua New Guinea, Sam couldn't pass up the chance!

Sam has filmed in many dangerous locations, however Papua New Guinea will prove the most challenging environment to film in yet...

Fred Lewis

Newbie to the team is former Special Forces Medic Fred Lewis. With over 14 years of military and medical experience, including tours in Irak and Afghanistan, Fred will help to keep the team alive. In his spare time, Fred is also a keen sportsman and regular participant in the grueling Spartan obstacle races.

Will this prepare him enough for what Papua New Guinea has in store?

Need a recap? Here's the story so far...
