Pick a good location

Shark Week viewing isn't something you want do on a small phone screen. You want to see all the action; scratches on the sharks skin, the fear on the seal's face and, of course, the mad look in Bear Gryll's eyes! So, make sure you've got that wide screen at the ready and of course surround sound is a must! We suggest removing all breakable objects away from the seating area, as when things get tense there could be some dramatic jumping and screaming at the TV going on. Top Tip: have a pillow handy if you aren't a fan of seeing innocent sea animals become a Great White's dinner!

Fintastic treats

Everyone loves themed food, right? So why not make it in to a competition and challenge your shark-loving pals into seeing who can put together the best Shark Week inspired spread! It could be anything from shark-shaped sushi, to blue-coloured cupcakes, to shark-infested jelly.

Drinks: for the kids

There are no limits to shark puns for your drinks, but here is a our favourite mix that is sure to get the kids together: Shark Infested Waters.
How to make it: Get your hands on some gummy sharks, pop them in a freezer tray and fill the tray with red coloured squash. When the ice cubes are ready, fill your cup with lemonade and pop the shark cubes in and watch them melt!

Drinks: for the adults

Now that the kids are settled, you can sit down and sip on a nice, sophisticated Shark Bite cocktail! How to make it: Grab 1 1/2 oz. of Malibu rum, 1 oz blue Curacao and add them to an ice filled glass. Add some Sprite and lime juice and lightly stir, then finally add some grenadine for the blood effect. Garnish with a cherry, and voilà! Watch out, it's got a bit of a bite!

Lots of games

Nothing screams party like a good old party game! Here are a few you can try with your Shark Week Party pals!
Pin the Fin on The Shark
Played like the classic game of Pin the Tail on the Donkey, but this game uses a large shark image and a fin instead of a donkey and a tail.
Sharks vs. Dolphins
Divide players into two teams: the sharks and the dolphins. Have the dolphins stand in the play space while the sharks sit on the floor. Blow up several balloons (these are the fish). The job of the dolphins is to keep the fish in the air, away from the hungry sharks. As the dolphins toss and bat the fish around (they can’t hold them), the sharks may circle and hunt by crawling around the floor. The sharks must try to catch the balloons (without standing up), and sit on them to pop them!
Play some Shark Strike on your phone
If solo gaming is your thing, download the Shark Strike app on iOS or Android and play through the epic story of a shark in search of its lost pups.Transverse through the story and climb the food chain as you evolve from a Reef Shark to bigger and badder sharks.

Decorations

Why not go all out and turn your own home in to a 'shark-infested living room'. Of course you have to go with all things blue - blue balloons and blue table cloths! But if you are really wanting to impress your friends, why not have a little craft session and make some shark fin bunting or even make a shark piñata!

What's the most important thing to go all out on for the perfect Shark Week viewing party?
