Pastel Goth
Pastel Goth
Pastel Goth is a mixture of creepy and cute, and if you look at Pastel Goth fashion, you'll see a lot of "melting" crosses, coffins, and pastel colors with black, although you don't have to wear the fashion to be one of them. Pastel Goth artists include Melanie Martinez.
Industrial Goth
Industrial Goth
Industrial Goth evolved from the Goth scene in the 1990s, and popular artists are Marilyn Manson (my personal FAVORITE), Nine Inch Nails, and Skinny Puppy.
Trad Goth
Trad Goth
The Trad Goths were the original Goths of the early 1980s, and apparently you're like them! Popular bands of this sort are Siouxsie and the Banshees (Siouxsie Sioux pictured above), The Cure, The Smiths, and Bauhaus (pronounced "Bowhouse).
Victorian Goth
Victorian Goth
Victorian Goth's style was "stolen" from the Victorian era in the late 1800s. Fun fact: When Queen Victoria of England's husband and cousin Albert, she was so devastated that she wore black for the rest of her life (fifty more years!)!
Romantic Goth
Romantic Goth
Romantic Goth, as you guessed, has a both romantic and dark fashion style, and most of its songs are about love and death.
Cyber Goth
Cyber Goth
The original Cyber Goths in the 1990s-2000s were called "Gravers" and wore funky wigs made of multiple plastic, rubber, and Styrofoam tubes and often, hair extensions and bright colors. Popular CG artists include Johnny Hollow.
Gothabilly
Gothabilly
Gothabilly's style is a combination of 1950s style and regular Gothic style. I personally can't recommend any Gothabilly artists, but it's okay to listen to other bands and artists!!
Nu Goth
Nu Goth
Nu Goth is very similar to Pastel Goth, only the clothing usually has more black and occult signs (pentagrams/pentacles, upside-down crosses).
