How many records might Tom Brady break in Super Bowl 51?

After starting the season on the sidelines thanks to Deflategate, Tom Brady is targeting ultimate revenge in Super Bowl 51. He's had an MVP calibre season, aged 39, but how many records might 'psycho Tom' add this Sunday?

Tom Brady is just the greatest. He's just so hard to play against.

The beginnings of a legend

Brady only threw for 145 yards and 1 touchdown in the Patriots upset of the heavily favored 'Greatest Show on Turf' St Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI. But he won Super Bowl MVP after his clutch late drive to set up Adam Vinatieri's game-winning field goal as time expired.

A record-setting career

Since making his name in that upset of the Rams, Brady has built a strong case to be considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time (if not the greatest). Among his many Super Bowl records include most appearances by a quarterback, most pass completions in a single Super Bowl, most completions, yards and touchdowns in a career, most consecutive completions, most passes without an interception, and ties for MVP awards and most wins as a quarterback (which he could hold alone following Super Bowl 51, depending on the outcome).

Let's take a look at the legends whose records Brady could break this Sunday. Some of the records he has a good chance to surpass, while others are long-shots. But as Brady's career shows us, anything is possible with Number 12.

Most wins as a quarterback (tied at four)

Most Super Bowl MVPs (currently tied with three)

I never like to say the greatest of all time, but when he is done, he will be the best one who ever played.

Most consecutive completions to start a Super Bowl (10+)

Most passing yards in a Super Bowl (415+ yards)

Most touchdowns in a Super Bowl (7+)

Most wins as a player (Brady could tie, with 5)
