Seven Times Pope Paul VI Predicted the Future

Pope Paul VI commented in Humane Vitae men would reach "the point of considering her [woman] as a mere instrument of selfish enjoyment and no longer as his respected and beloved companion."

In a 2014 study by Proven Men ministries, it was found that Overall, 64 percent of American men reported that they view porn at least monthly and 18 percent of all men said they are either addicted or unsure if they’re dependent upon pornography; this proportion jumped to 33 percent for men between the ages of 18 and 30.

Towards the end of the document Humane Vitae, Pope Paul VI wrote, "Finally, careful consideration should be given to the danger of this power passing into the hands of those public authorities who care little for the precepts of the moral law...Who will prevent public authorities from favoring those contraceptive methods which they consider more effective? Should they regard this as necessary, they may even impose their use on everyone. "

The Affordable Health Care Act passed by the current administration and President Barack Obama specified a requirement of all employers to provide insurance that would include coverage of the pill, the ring, Plan B and inter-uterine devices.

Upon the release of the pill to the world health markets in the 1960s, Pope Paul VI commented that contraception would "lead to conjugal infidelity and the general lowering of morality."

This seems highly ironic given the release of over 37 million users names and identities from the company Ashley Madison, who specialized in providing environments for spousal infidelity.

Pope Paul VI wrote, "Just as man does not have unlimited dominion over his body in general, so also, and with more particular reason, he has no such dominion over his specifically sexual faculties, for these are concerned by their very nature with the generation of life, of which God is the source."

In 2014, 12 women died after undergoing sterilization surgery in India. The women died after undergoing tubal ligation procedures at a government-run “sterilization camp” in the village of Pendari, in Bilaspur district.

Pope Paul VI knew that what he was proposing with Humanae Vitae - the promotion of the dignity and beauty of the human being created in the image of God - wouldn't sit well with a world tainted by sin. He wrote, "There is too much clamorous outcry against the voice of the Church, and this is intensified by modern means of communication."

In reference to marriage, Pope Paul VI wrote, "Some people today raise the objection against this particular doctrine of the Church concerning the moral laws governing marriage, that human intelligence has both the right and responsibility to control those forces of irrational nature which come within its ambit and to direct them toward ends beneficial to man."

Finally, Pope Paul VI wrote on man's desire to define his own morality, a point heightened in a culture defined by relativism. "But the most remarkable development of all is to be seen in man's stupendous progress in the domination and rational organization of the forces of nature to the point that he is endeavoring to extend this control over every aspect of his own life—over his body, over his mind and emotions, over his social life, and even over the laws that regulate the transmission of life."
