In the ruins of Seattle

It has been about 500 years since an extinction event wiped out a majority of human life on Earth. Now in the ruins of Seattle six tribes live among each other in a apprehensive peace after having driven out the violent Orange and Yellow tribes.

The Red Tribe: This tribe lives centrally among the others. They hail mother nature as their goddess and take protecting the forest as their sacred duty. They are closely allied with The Black, but prefer peace over war with any tribe.

The Red Tribe: This tribe lives centrally among the others. They hail mother nature as their goddess and take protecting the forest as their sacred duty. They are closely allied with The Black, but prefer peace over war with any tribe.

Of the Seattle six the Red are the most hospitable and are known to welcome wayward members of the other tribes into their towns and villages. Even though they would rather solve their problems with words the tribe has very accomplished warriors. The warriors of the Red do not carry weapons with the exception of a small knife as they find the use of weapons to be a weakness. Instead they engage in hand to hand combat. The Red tribe is known for its fearsome swiftness as their evolutionary trait is increased agility and enlarged olfactory centers. Touch is a significant part of their culture as it mimics the way beastfolk form bonds with their animal companions and spouses. The beastfolk are a small group within The Red that have the literal ability to mentally bond with an animal. The Red are closely allied with The Black and at times leave their life above ground to live with their underground loved ones. Both tribes regularly engage in hunting competitions.

The Blue Tribe: A very religious tribe who live along Puget Sound. They worship the sea as their goddess and the earth as their god. They excel in feats of physical strength and are the most brutal warriors of the Seattle Six.

The Blue are not an inherently violent or hostile tribe; they simply do not like trespassers on their sacred land. Everything they do revolves around their religion. They will allow the other tribes to come into their territory if they bring gifts and offerings for the gods. The Blue are not heartless, and make exceptions or forgive those who stray into their territory unwittingly. Their evolution includes the ability to hold their breath for an hour to two hours, withstand great amounts of water pressure, and open their eyes in salt water. Some of The Blue are even capable of echo location. Aside from their deities The Blue hold children in high regard and as precious gifts as this tribe has extreme difficulty with conception. Aside from child rearing The Blue are talented smiths who have mastered the use of ancient metals originally developed before the great shift. They spend their non-combat time making jewelry and specific weapons and tools.

The Green Tribe: They are pacifists and see the other tribes as primal. They live in heavily fortified forts along hills and mountains. They cannot be burned and things such as smoke and ash do not hamper their breathing.

Despite the fact that The Green are pacifists they mainly create weapons and instruments of war. They themselves do not use these items for their intended purposes, but trade them with the other tribes for resources they cannot get themselves. There are a total of three Green strongholds and each is essentially its own little world as they only communicate with each other in desperate times. Each stronghold is run by a king and his royal family with a class system based on merit and crafting ability. Even with class differences the whole tribe comes together to feast, dance, and listen to stories kept alive via oral tradition. This is the only tribe, other than The White, that has members that can read and write in the old languages. Only a select few can but those who cannot are taught to use runes. Runes are believed to have power in their meanings and the tribe members often etch them into the items they craft and the walls of their homes.

The Purple Tribe: The smallest of the six tribes they are immune to poison and most illnesses. They live where the trees are dense enough to block out the sun and where the ground gives way to water.

The Purple Tribe: The smallest of the six tribes they are immune to poison and most illnesses. They live where the trees are dense enough to block out the sun and where the ground gives way to water.

The Purple have but one city, but it is the largest and most comfortable of any tribal settlement. Suspended above the marshy waters in the former industrial district The Purple dedicate themselves to learning and better understanding the world around them. They are the only oligarchy of the tribes with four leaders, The Four Minds, that are the top most authorities in their fields. War has been most unkind to this tribe; first at the hands of The Yellow and then at the hands of The Red and The Black. After surrendering to The Red peace finally came to The Purple who turned from violence to learning and building. They are the only tribe to surpass The Green in any form of crafting as their poisons, drugs, and medicines cannot be matched. They are also gifted carpenters and leather workers. Since the tribe is so small there is no economy and everything is shared among the members; there are no secrets to be had here.

The Black Tribe: The most capable trackers of the tribes, and close allies to the Red. They live in underground tunnels and basements beneath central and southern Seattle.

The Black Tribe: The most capable trackers of the tribes, and close allies to the Red. They live in underground tunnels and basements beneath central and southern Seattle.

Due to living underground for hundreds of years most of this tribe is blind, but that is what gives them their tracking abilities. They are the best archers of the tribes and the most capable assassins despite being a non-violent tribe. The members of The Black don't actually live together in cities, but rather live spread out in a series of tunnels that run beneath Seattle. A majority of these tunnels were dug out by the ancestors of the tribe themselves. The stone houses many of The Black inhabit were also built by the tribe members of the past. The half of The Black who can see are good stonemasons and miners in their own right, but they are still surpassed by The Green. They are a relaxed tribe with almost no need for laws or leadership as they all run their own lives. They are very closely allied with The Red, some even go as far as marrying into that tribe. There is a friendly rivalry between the tribes when it comes to hunting.

The White Tribe: They live in underground bunkers scattered throughout the city. A paranoid tribe they avoid contact with the others.

This group of people are far more paranoid than The Green and try to avoid the other tribes at all times. Of the Seattle Six they have evolved the least as they have spent the majority of their existence under ground in a very controlled environment. It wasn't until after the war of the sun that they even emerged from their bunkers. They are one of two tribes who can read and write in the ancient language. (English) They have the technology of The Ancients as well and therefore have a much higher survival rate when it comes to disease and injuries. They also use ancient weapons such as guns and flash bangs which can be manufactured in their bunkers. Since leaving the bunker is a recent occurrence it has become a rite of passage for the young of The White. They must bring back a useful item from the outside world before being assigned to their new permanent home. Every aspect of life is planned and controlled for The White and they do very little thinking when it comes to the future.
