The American Medical Association (AMA) has recently spoken out against the repeal of Obamacare, stating that it would leave over 20 million Americans without healthcare coverage. According to AMA CEO James L. Madara:
More than 20 million Americans currently have health care coverage due to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and among the AMA's highest priorities for on-going health system reform efforts is to ensure that these individuals maintain that coverage.

Many other leading healthcare experts have also come out against the repeal of Obamacare, including the American Hospital Association, America's Essential Hospitals, the Federation of American Hospitals, the Association of American Medical Colleges, and the Children's Hospital Association. The repeal of the Affordable Care Act would also cause significant damage to the finances of doctors and hospitals. According to American Hospital Association CEO Richard J. Pollack:
The effort to restructure the Medicaid program will have the effect of making significant reductions in a program that provides services to our most vulnerable populations, and already pays providers significantly less than the cost of care.

Essentially, repealing the Affordable Care Act, as the bill to do so stands right now, would make life harder for vulnerable patients who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford medical insurance as well as the doctors who treat them.
