A Harrowing Journey
Bozik lost three of his limbs in 2004 while he was serving as in Iraq. Following the incident, he was in a coma.
Now 36, Bozik's remaining arm is still only at 70 percent of its strength. However, Bozik has stayed active following the accident and was searching for a sport that could help him feel strong and in tune with his body again. Jiu jitsu provided that outlet.
Bozik is now married and has two children. His family inspires him to keep going.

Although showing up and competing is a victory in itself; showing everyone (including myself) that all the hours of sweat, blood, and yes sometimes tears have a purpose, is something not many get to taste in their time.
