Team Breakdown:
This year's Super Bowl will be between two high octane offenses and possibly the best two quarterbacks in football.
Falcons Offense
Let's not get confused, the Falcons are here because of their offense. Matt Ryan should be this year's NFL MVP. He put up career numbers and his receiving core of Julio Jones, Taylor Gabriel, and Mohamed Sanu give him plenty of options. Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan is one of, if not the best coordinator in football right now.
The Falcons enter the game as underdogs, but they may be the only team equipped to go up against Brady and the Pats. Matt Ryan has shown few weaknesses this year, but has thrown double digit interceptions in all but one season prior to this year. Ryan can't revert back to that on Sunday against a much improved Patriots defense. This is the #1 offense vs. the #1 defense and will be the match-up everyone will be watching.
Key Player: Tevin Coleman, although Devonta Freeman is the premier back for the Falcons, Coleman will get carries as well as be a viable receiving threat. Bill Belichick and the Pats do a great job of locking down top weapons such as, Julio Jones. This could leave Coleman to make some significant plays out of the backfield. Mark my words, if Coleman has more than 100 yards from scrimmage the Falcons will win.
Patriots Defense
Points Against
250 all season
1st in the NFL
Running Backs Against:
Pats D hasn't given up more than 90 points from a running back since 2015
Defensive Stars:
LB Dont'a Hightower
DE Trey Flowers
CB Logan Ryan
CB Malcolm Butler
SS Patrick Chung
FS Devin McCourty
Experts Say:
With each player capable of moving around the field to effectively play multiple roles against either the run or the pass, it doesn’t matter what personnel grouping the Patriots have on the field. Whether it’s a run or a pass, New England has the players to defend either option." - The Ringer's Danny Kelly
What That Means:
They have adaptable players that can match up with the number of weapons the Falcons offense has

Patriots Offense
Falcons Defense: They are young, but the defense led by pass rusher Vic Beasley might be the fastest in the league.
They closed the season with a string of five wins in its final six regular season games and allowed more than 20 points just twice during that stretch. That same unit then harassed Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers en route to two blowout playoff wins

Prediction:
Make no mistake, this game will be a shootout. Tom Brady and Matt Ryan are deservedly the top two candidates for this year's MVP. We know both offenses are going to put up serious numbers, the question then becomes which of the defenses will be able to force timely stops and turnovers.
The Patriots defense has the adaptability and depth to keep up with the Falcons offense. Belichick will develop the schemes needed to take away Julio Jones and the rest of the defense will be able to provide a few turnovers to win a down to the wire classic.
Patriots 37-34 Falcons
