What Is Your Wild West Profession?

Times were tougher back then. From the wild animals to the wild outlaws, every day there was a chance of danger. If you had been in the Wild West, what would you have done for a living?

Where do you feel most at home?

On a hot day you like to ...

The best time of day is the ...

You've been given a horse! What do you name it?

How do you feel about guns?

Which of these westerns do you like the most?

If you had to pick one of these types of music, which would you listen to?

Do you drink alcoholic beverages?

Do you smoke?

Which animal would you rather have as a pet?

Doctor!

Doctor!

It was a much harder time for those of the medical profession. Fewer good tools, fewer known cures and remedies. Some things we hardly worry about today used to wipe out a big percentage of towns and camps. A Doctor's work is never done in the Wild West.

Teacher!

Teacher!

Being a teacher in the frontier was no easy task. Many children didn't want to attend school, and it was much harder to keep them in line without corporal punishment. Would you have smacked knuckles with your ruler, or would you have had a less "tense" classroom as a teacher in the Wild West?

Preacher!

Preacher!

A preacher's job is not an easy one in a time when dueling with pistols is legal, as well as the way many groups of people were treated. It was a time when many believed too much education was a sin, and it was not uncommon to still have book burnings among small towns. Only the Lord would see a preacher through the Wild West.

Sheriff!

Sheriff!

When lawlessness ran amok even in some towns, and on many roads and all over the wilderness... it was a hard time to be a lawman. A Sheriff needed to be fair, but tough in such a time. Understanding was necessary, but so was a quick and steady shooting hand. The day is never done for a Sheriff of the Wild West.

Barkeep!

Barkeep!

The nightlife started earlier in the day with nothing but candle and oil-lamp light. In that nightlife there was always a bar or saloon to stumble into at all times. Poker, smoking, drinking, and being generally rowdy filled these places and in the Wild West it was the Barkeep that kept it all in check.

Rancher!

Rancher!

Driving cattle was tough. You had to ride on horseback and watch the herd day and night. Barely sleeping and not eating much, and taking water where you can find it. Even once back at the ranch there were thieves and wolves to worry about. It was not an easy life for a Rancher in the Wild West.
