And finally, how would people describe you?

Pocahontas

Pocahontas

You're like the real-life Pocahontas! You're bold, playful, and curious. You tend to be spoiled, but you don't let that make you greedy or selfish. You have a loving and innocent heart.

Pocahontas (birth name Matoaka--Pocahontas was a nickname meaning "playful one") was the real daughter of Chief Powhatan. She was supposedly a great friend of Captain John Smith, and saved him from being killed by her father. She helped the colonists survive because of him, but stopped visiting when she heard he was dead (though he really wasn't). This is recorded by John Smith himself, and may or may not be true.

She was converted to Christianity by colonists who kidnapped her, moving to England and being renamed "Rebecca." There, she married John Rolfe, and had a son named Thomas.

Their marriage created a peace between the natives and the colonists for the next six years, before the colonists decided to take over their land and destroy their people. She died at a young age from the diseases of England her body wasn't immune to.

Anastasia

Anastasia

You're like the real-life Anastasia! You're very caring, generous, and compassionate. You're also charming, mischievous, and good-humored. You're the type of person anyone would love. Let's just hope you get the happy ending you deserve, and don't share the fate of the REAL Anastasia.

Anastasia Romonov was a real Grand Duchess of Russia. She was the daughter of Russian Tsar Nicholas II. She had 3 older sisters and a younger brother. They were a happy and loving family. Despite being royalty, they led a simple life, and were very generous.

Their family were the last Tsars of Russia, and the whole family was executed by Yakov Yurovsky during the Russian Revolution.

There were several stories that came up over the years about hopes for the survival of Anastasia or one of her siblings, as well as stories villainizing the family friend, Rasputin. None of these were true, however, as their remains were all accounted for, and Rasputin died before their execution.

Hercules

Hercules

You're like the real-life Hercules! You're strong, fierce, and courageous. You charge through life, giving it your all. You may have a fiery temper, but your heart is in the right place.

Hercules (also called Heracles) was one of the sons of the Greek god, Zeus. His mother was mortal. He was known for being the strongest mortal man in existence--stronger than many Greek gods. But, he lacked wisdom, and was easily offended. This led to him making rash decisions in anger, and holding many grudges. He was too strong for anyone to punish, but he took punishments willingly for his rash actions, which is a testament to his character.

He famously performed "The Twelve Labors of Hercules," which included killing a Nemean Lion and a Hydra, cleaning the Augean Stables, and capturing the 3-headed dog that guarded the gates to the Underworld.

On his deathbed, he became a god, and joined his father and the other gods in Olympus. He was one of only 2 demigods who became gods later in life.

Mulan

Mulan

You're like the real-life Mulan! You defy society's expectations of you at every turn. You're strong, rebellious, and courageous. You tend to color outside the lines in your life, and you like it that way.

The original tale of Mulan was supposedly inspired by an ancient Chinese warrior named Fu Hao. She was a military general who orchestrated the earliest recorded large-scale ambush in Chinese history.

She had 13,000 soldiers and 2 well-respected generals under her command, and was historically documented as the most powerful military leader of her time.

She was one of the 60 wives of Emperor Wu Ding of the Shang Dynasty. In addition to being a military leader, she was also a wife, a mother, a shaman, and a political leader. Quite out of character for the time period.

Snow White

Snow White

You're like the real-life Snow White! You probably have suffered--or do suffer--at the hands of someone close to you. You're a kind, sweet, and beautiful/handsome person, well-loved by all you meet--with one jealous exception.

The original tale of Snow White was supposedly inspired by a woman named Maria Sophia von Erthal. Her mother died when she was a child, and when her father remarried, his new wife had it out for Maria.

A company in their hometown of Lohr, Germany, manufactured "magic" talking mirrors, and her family owned one. Their town was also home to a large mining community, and they would send children and short men into the smaller tunnels, like the dwarves.

Their castle also neighbored a large forest, where a plant called "Deadly Nightshade" grew. If a substance called "atropine," which is made from the plant, were applied to a peddler's wares or injected into an apple, it could cause someone to become extremely sick, or die.

Robin Hood

Robin Hood

You're like the real-life Robin Hood! You're an adventurer and a rule-breaker. You see the injustices in this world and try to fix them. You're not the type to stand idly by. You're brave, generous, and fair.

Robin Hood was a name given to him by his followers and storytellers. There are several people that others claim to have been the real Robin Hood, but no one knows for sure who he really was.

What we do know for sure was that he was a truly impressive archer, and he was best friends with a man called Little John. He was generous to the poor peasants of the land, who deemed him their hero. He was an outlaw of the time, and had frequent run-ins with the Sheriff of Sherwood Forest, whom he despised.

There is no evidence of a real-life Maid Marion or Friar Tuck. Those characters were added on later, to enhance the story. However, Little John, Will Scarlet, and the Merry Men do appear to have been as real as Robin Hood himself.
